5G Network

Internet connectivity has really taken multiple steps forward in the past year.

5G mobile network is a forthcoming revolution of mobile technology which provides broadband access. It might just sound like a upgrade from the existing 4G but, there is much more to know about it,  It will quite literally revolutionize cellular networks and will offer a seamless medium for communication.
It started entering the market at the end of 2018.
Its features and usability are amazing.

PROS
  • BLAZING FAST INTERNET
One of the advantages is the huge bump in high-speed data access that users would enjoy, once they get access to this. No, we are not talking about some 2 times increase in speeds but as much as 100 times more data speeds over the air.
While a 4G network is capable of offering speeds of up to a maximum of 50 Mb/s, in 5G we are talking about Internet speed  that rates up to 10Gb/s or even higher.

  • 100 TIMES MORE DEVICE HANDLING CAPACITY THAN 4G
While Internet speeds are surely great, the 5G network comes with another massive advantage.
The new 5G network will come with more than 100 times more device handling capacity. What it means is that more people or devices would be able to connect to a given network without degrading its performance for other users.
Do you remember when your device starts running down because when you focus on another activity,  its the network,  not your phone
With 5g massive phone handling capacity,  you'll be able to do multiple things on your device without having to chose between any of them.
  • VERY LOW NETWORK LATENCY
1-millisecond latency (i.e the time it takes for information to go from  origin to destination)
which means an instant response from the network and devices using that network.

Internet intensive tasks such as done by smart appliances, while video streaming or done in smart homes need a very reliable and a very low-latency based network.
Thus, making this network really useful for varied applications and even online gaming.
It will allow dynamic information access, and HD streaming will work on demand.
  • BETTER BATTERY LIFE
One of the worst implications of high-speed networks is that they end up stressing the devices and thereby resulting in poor battery life.
With 5G things are going to change as this network offers the best possible connection to devices thereby reducing a major load off of them to keep searching for a better network and thereby increasing the battery life of devices such as phones.
  • CUSTOM NETWORK OPTIONS
5G is not just one technology, it is actually a combination of several technologies in one. The system, however, is smart and knows when to make use of which technology for maximum efficiency seamless integration of broadband LAN, WAN, MAN, It will follow CDMA and BDMA standards.
With current networks, only a one size fits all solution is available. But, different applications have different needs. For example, if you just want to do gaming you need access to an ultra-low latency, super-fast data network that can carry out signals and deliver them back without a delay. But, if you are only messaging on Face book using such a high-speed network would simply be a wastage of resources.

5G network understands this and helps users by offering custom network options to its users. Until now, network operators could just offer cellular networks in just one form, but, that will change with the new 5G network which is optimized for maximum efficiency and performance.

CONS
  • Many old devices will not be able to use it.
  • 5g devices will be really costly.
  • Security and privacy issues.
  • Costly Maintenance.
  • People may have noticed that their coverage may drop more often than on their 3G network, As the 5G network  rolled out, More cell towers will be required to produce this immense bandwidth because the cells can’t cover as much space like the 3G or 4G cells, More cells will need to be rolled out, So, 5G users should expect that their coverage may not be as widespread at first.

Its also safe to wonder if the operation 5g will affect  (maybe due to overcrowding)  radio frequency of radios,  cell towers,  and even satellites because they all operate in the Ghz range.

Of course we have 5G rolling out in many countries.  However many other countries have been experimenting on 5g and you  can expect more of 5G in the coming years.
